Tax Collector Announces Launch of Online Chatbot - Jaxie

April 17, 2023
Duval County Tax Collector Jim Overton announces the launch of a new service to help customers around the clock.
Jaxie is the new chatbot that has been implemented on the tax collector website, duvaltc.com, to answer questions, guide users through the website and provide specific help to customers using an online chatting service.

Some of the questions or statements you can ask Jaxie are, 'How do I renew my tag’, 'How much does a driver license cost’, 'I need a form' and so on. Jaxie has been live on the website and available for customers to use since January 2023. During its’ first few months on the job, Jaxie has answered more than 10,000 questions for approximately 6,000 user sessions.

Duval County Tax Collector Jim Overton says implementing the chatbot is another example of how the office is using technology to better serve its customers.

“We are always looking for ways to get our customers the answers and services they need as quickly and efficiently as possible,” Overton said. “Jaxie does that by giving a quick and easy online option for getting questions answered; no need to call in or wait at the branch for an answer.”

According to CogAbility, the company and technology behind Jaxie, "tax collectors around the country are using CogAbility-built digital employees to empower their staff by answering constituent questions 24/7, eliminating low-value work, automating back office processes, booking appointments, and estimating fees.”

You can follow the Tax Collector on social media for important updates on Facebook - @duvalcountytaxcollector and Twitter - @DuvalTaxCollect.
