If you would like to take a road test examination, please be at the office of your choice between 8:30am-3:00pm. Bring your learner’s permit if you have one.
You must provide an operable car with good tires, operating brake lights, turn signals, horn, and mirrors. Both front doors must operate normally from both inside and outside.
No persons other than the driver taking the skills exam may be in the vehicle during the exam unless an interpreter is needed. The interpreter may ride in the back seat to interpret instructions, as needed.
Your driving privilege should not be suspended, revoked or otherwise ineligible. If so, please reinstate your driving privilege before your exam.
Customers taking a skills exam in vehicles with a Florida license plate are required to show proof that the vehicle has Personal Injury Protection (PIP)/Property Damage Liability (PDL) insurance, pursuant to section 627.733, Florida Statutes, before the skills exam can be administered.
Customers under the age of 18 must hold a learner’s permit for at least 12 months with no moving traffic convictions before obtaining a license. They must also have a guardian or other responsible adult certify that another licensed driver 21 years of age or older, has accompanied the minor customer for a total of not less than 50 hours behind the wheel skills experience, of which not less than ten hours must have been at night.
When you pass your road test and surrender your Florida learner’s permit and are not making any changes to your license, the service fee will be $6.25. If you have failed a road test previously, each test is $20 plus the $6.25 service fee. For assistance, email
